Keeping Your Passion Present

As we stood on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Big Sur I felt the power of the moment. The storm was approaching. The power was lost. The roads were damaged. Cars could not get in or out. Therefore the food was getting scarce.
We were told the army helicopters were coming in to do an airlift evaculation to Carmel.
Yet we sat on the cliff, in a circle, reciting poetry. In candle light and the cloud covered moon we recited poetry.
It was surreal to say the least.
Nature in all her power. She had a definite statement to make.
We had spent the week trying to learn to paint by expressing our inner most feelings. The emotion of passion comes to mind. Passion for art. Passion for the day. Passion for the storm.
So it was natural not to run from the passion of nature.
Yet we were told we had to board the waiting helicopter. We did and flew through the storm.
In the middle of any storm, keep your passion present.
At any age, stay passionate about your individual journey no matter the coming storm or the waiting helicopter.
Passion for the moment in time…clear skies or cloudy. It is your choice.
